Alesis: Alesis Today...and Looking Ahead
Alesis Corporation is the brainchild of Keith Barr, an engineer and innovator who had already established himself in the mid 1970s with his company MXR, a signal processor manufacturer. In late 1984, Barr gathered a small group of cohorts and formed Alesis, which was then based out of a tiny guest house in Hollywood, California. The company’s primary goal was to create high-quality audio products that were priced to fit the budget of the consumer musician.
